Spring Session

The Taiko Center of the Pacific's spring session began this week. Hurray! I missed going to taiko class. I am continuing with the Adult Intermediate I class led by Kirsten-sensei. Same time, same place. Still no lights. The only difference is that my class has nearly doubled in size! There are approximately 20 people. Many of the newcomers moved up from the Beginning II class. I am happy to see many familiar faces. Carol (if you're reading this) - it's about time you moved up ;). The downside of having a large class is that you receive less individualized attention from the instructor. Last session, Kirsten-sensei would have each of us play by ourselves and then critique our form. Many of us dreaded this exercise. However, I grew to appreciate Kirsten-sensei's critical eye. After all, she wants us to get better.
