I've been training with Nanryo Daiko for a little over a month and I love it! I have the benefit of training alongside people who are passionate about taiko and have been playing for a number of years. I'm so grateful to be a part of a performing taiko group here in Japan. I didn't have to worry about auditioning either. What a big relief!
In November, Nanryo Daiko is organizing a mini-concert for the public. I recently found out that I will be performing in 2 songs: Yatai Bayashi and Hishou! Eeeek, so excited and nervous. I have less than a month and a half to prepare. Lately, I have been attending practice at least 3-4 times a week. I have never played so much taiko in my life. It's a great feeling! :)
