The Taiko Center of the Pacific holds an annual bonenkai in December. Every class, both youth and adult, participate in this family event. This year's bonenkai was held at Palama Settlement. I was thrilled that my parents and sister were able to attend my performance, even if it only lasted for 4 minutes ;). I felt loved. I think my family is gradually beginning to understand my fascination for taiko.
