Always On My Mind

I've created this blog to share my interest in taiko (Japanese drumming). Why all the fuss over taiko? I became inspired to play taiko after seeing a live taiko performance in college. I was mesmerized by the dynamic sounds, the fluid movements, the energy, and the spirit of the performers on stage. I thought to myself, "I want to do that!" Thus began my journey into the world of taiko. If you haven't tried taiko, I highly recommend it. You'll be hooked after the first class. On my taiko to-do list is to see KODO perform and perhaps visit the troupe on Sado Island where they train. I would also like to join a performing taiko group in the future. I have a long way to go.
