Wearing our new club t-shirts at Odaiko New England's annual student recital in Woburn, MA.
We were all ecstatic to see Tamagawa University perform at MIT. This group has mad skills. The guy on the far left of the picture impressed all of us with his solo on the Odaiko. Tamagawa University Taiko group includes both men and women. However, the women are primarily dancers.

Performing at Wellesley's Pan Asian Cultural Show in the Jewett Auditorium - with real drums, too!
All smiles after finishing our first public performance at Wellesley's Yuki Matsuri in Tishman Commons.
Performing on our handmade gomikan. Maryssa and I went to Home Depot to purchase the packaging tape and Brute garbage cans. The guy at the register asked us what we were going to do with 11 garbage cans and we replied, "Make music!" We got even stranger looks from our peers when we boarded the bus back to Wellesley. lol Our club is raising money to purchase a set of real wooden drums. We purchased our first nagado taiko in October of last year using the generous monetary gift from alums in Tokyo. Arigatoo gozaimasu!
